The world’s first 660 MW ultra-supercritical double-arch coal-fired unit, developed by China Energy Engineering Corporation, has commenced operation. It features groundbreaking "W"-flame boiler technology designed for efficient anthracite combustion, achieving 93% thermal efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions by 300,000 tons annually.  

    China’s first million-kilowatt lignite-fired generator (Inner Mongolia Suneng Xilin Gol Project) achieved grid synchronization. It overcame technical barriers in large-scale utilization of high-moisture lignite, with combustion efficiency and pollutant control reaching internationally leading levels. Annual output: ~10 billion kWh.
